The stunning Kyambura Gorge also called the “Valley of Apes” is located in the far eastern corner of the well- known Queen Elizabeth National Park in southwestern Uganda.
Approximately 1 km across– at its broadest point and about 100 meters deep, this gorge is actually drained by River Kayambura. The landscape is among the most impressive you will find in Uganda and it is swarmed a rich wildlife bio-diversity that comprises of primates, wild animals as well as birds.
Today, you will spend a few hours tracking chimpanzees. The habituated chimpanzees give you the unique experience to watch them go about their daily lives. You will see chimpanzees starting the day by climbing out of their nests while following through their daily activities, you get to learn more about their way of life and how they are habituated to human presence.
The last part of the journey will bring us back to Entebbe, en-route have lunch and stop by the equator then later decide whether to be dropped off at a hotel or at the airport for your flight back home with the knowledge that you have visited one the most fascinating and beautiful places in Africa.
