5 Day Wildlife Safari At Kidepo Valley National Park

Go to see the untouched wilderness of Kidepo Valley NP, Uganda’s Remote remote park in the north of the country. In this park you will see beautiful nature as well have the chance of seeing zebras, giraffes, lions and elephants, will have what say at the end of your safari.

Day 1

Transfer to Kitugum

Meet your guide and start your Kidepo safari. You have a long day in the car ahead of you and can enjoy the Ugandan landscape passing by the windows seeing villages roadside local markets and reach kitugum town have a relaxed evening at the lodge as you get ready for Kidepo valley in the following day.

Day 2

Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park

After breakfast you make the last part of the journey to Kidepo Valley national park. This park is known as one of the last untouched wildernesses in Africa. You will reach the park in time for a game-drive and then get to the lodge for lunch. After some relaxation you head out for an evening game-drive and have the chance of seeing for example giraffes, zebras, elephants, lions and leopards.

Day 3

Kidepo valley National Park

Get up early to enjoy a morning game-drive in the area of the Kanangorok hot springs. If you are lucky you can see ostriches in this area. After lunch it is time for a cultural experience visiting a Karamojong village. See how the locals live and learn about their culture.

Day 4

Transfer back through Gulu

This will be an interesting day in the car as you are traveling through the remotest parts of Uganda, see villages and nature passing by the window. Spend the night in Gulu Uganda’s second biggest town. Here you have almost the end of your safari as you finally warm up for rhino trekking.

Day 5

Rhino sanctuary and transfer to Kampala

After breakfast you start the journey back to Kampala. Along the way to Kampala you will make a stop at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to make a walk to see the rhinos. Before Kampala your guide will point out to the Popular Luwero triangle and continue through to the City as you have reached the end of your Kidepo safari.
